Established in 1973 to promote the interests of working people at European level and to represent them in the EU institutions, the ETUC is one of the European social partners and is recognised by the European Union, by the Council of Europe and by EFTA as the only representative cross-sectoral trade union organisation at European level.

Interactive, self-access learning resource for UK trade union officers. Includes awareness-raising activities on how to support migrant workers with language learning. Also includes advice on how to persuade employees to engage in learning and how to persuade employers to make this possible.
Resource is likely to be helpful to others who support second language speakers in the workplace, including learning providers and managers.

This resource was developed by unionlearn (part of the UK Trades Union Congress) working with the British Council's ESOL Nexus project.
