fide

Comprehensive resource for linguistic integration of adult migrants in Switzerland managed by the Swiss Federal Office for Migration (FOM).
Includes online scenario-based learning resources including work-related resources in French, German and Italian.
Through fide, second language learning in Switzerland is placed into a conceptual framework that serves as a reference for both teachers and learners. To facilitate the practical implementation of the fide approach, a great number of documents, tools and exemplary teaching resources are available on the fide website. On the other hand, no detailed curricula or standardised teaching materials have been developed: in scenario based teaching according to the fide principles, it is the needs and abilities of every individual course group that determine the course of the learning process.
