Analyses programme organisation, target learners, programme goals, curriculum and materials, and programme complexity.
Also discusses implications for workplace literacy programmes of demographic and national/global economic trends; and developments in workplace literacy programmes.
Main conclusions include: partnerships are integral to programme success, programmes must emphasise continuing lifelong learning in rich educational environments, and, more attention must be paid to programme evaluation.
